Japanese Custom

I’m going to talk about Japanese main seasonal events.
In spring, we have the day for children. We display
dolls for girls, and Koinobori and Kabuto for boys. And we enjoy watching the cherry blossoms as we eat or drink.

You will be impressed with the beautiful sight.
In summer, we dance
the Bon dancing at the summer festival. At that time, we wear YUKATA, and we enjoy looking around many stalls and watching fireworks.
In autumn, we enjoy watching full moon while eating TSUKIMI DANGO in October.
In winter, We eat the buck wheat noodles on the New Years Eve. It’s called TOSIKOSISOBA, and on New Year’s Day we eat Osechi and Zouni.

Setsubun is a ceremony to drive devils out of home by scatter parched beans.
Why don’t you join these Japanese seasonal events.

The Day Of The Dead

I’m going to talk about The Day Of The Dead’s history.
There was the Azteca festival that decorated the graves with flowers.
When Mexico was conquered by Spain and converted to Christianity in the sixteenth century, catholic festival and Azteca festival were joined. That two festival became The Day Of The Dead. Then the date was changed August to November. During the ancient Azteca era, there was the day that was for dead children and for dead adults. So this remains the present festival.

Herutage of America

We are going to talk about the Statue of Liberty and Independence Hall.
First I talk about the Statue of Liberty's history.

The Statue of Liberty was presented by France for America on 100th Independence anniversary.
At first the Statue of liberty couldn’t be produced because there aren’t enough money to construct. However it could be produce through contribution from French.
It was moved in pieces from France, and completed in 1886.
In 1984 this was registered on World Heritage list. This statue was built by Frederic Bartholdi and Gustave Eiffel. Gustave Eiffel is the artist who built Eiffel Tower. The Statue of Liberty’s crown has been prohibited to enter since 911 happened, but this year it was admitted.
